SANYO TELEVISION REPAIR AND TROUBLESHOOTING  TIPS

SANYO TV REPAIR TIPS

_
  • Ed1 mosaic - like pic ic502 pvpu2204(pal vid proc unit)
  • Ed1 mosaic picture. Pvpu2204 chip ic502
  • Ed1 no pic - just bright glow at top dpu2553 ic508 on digital pcb pt no 409 211 87 01
  • Ed1 no pic, top glow, dpu2553 deflection processor chip ic508 on the digital pcb.
  • Ed1 pic blanked mostly,q453.
  • Ed1 pic dark/weak vcu2136 chipic501 on the digital pcb. The part no is 409 212 0608.
  • Ed1 snd/osd ok no pic vcu2136 chip ic501 on the digital pcb 409 212 0608.
  • Ed1 snd+osd vcu2136 on digital pcb.
  • Ed1 surge/dead,tda1521 audio output chip ic390, 410 030 8806.
  • Ed1 trip then dead tda1521 .
  • Ed1 trips 4 times then dead r314 10r in psu- lt supply once set has fired up
  • Ed128 1). Press and release memory key (diamond) on front panel. (factory shows on screen)
  • Ed128 2). Press index/menu key on remote control within 5 seconds.
  • Ed128 3).the first tab on the serv.. Menu was highlighted allowing me to enter the configuration code
  • Ed128 4).(i had been told 02014 was required) directly from the keypad.
  • Ed128 5).pressing the remote menu key again changed the on screen display to the next tab heading
  • Ed128 6)."geometry" with a list of features ho, so, si, ao, yo, etc.. With the top one ho being
  • Ed128 7).highlighted and vertical amplitude and a number written alongside.
  • Ed128 sure enough operating either vol+ or vol enabled adjustment of the on screen number
  • Ed128 9).and the vertical size of the picture displayed. To alter the next parameter, press the sound button
  • Ed128 a). [under the volume + button] to highlight the next tab down. The recommended values are follows;
  • Ed128  configuration no. 02014 sets sound intercarrier/standard etc.

  • Sanyo 2145 int shut down 100mfd caps 5v - 12v lines
  • Sanyo 2148 stepping up channels d24 5v1 zener
  • Sanyo 2180 won’t go completly into sby. Low supply to pin 1 op     check r572 470ohm
  • Sanyo 21mt1 dead replace r321 (120k) primary side of psu o/c
  • Sanyo 21mt1 ec3-a21 poor, flickering pic low rgb o/p ic101 tda8361 if/dec/tb chip pins 18 -20; chip faulty
  • Sanyo 21mt2 ec5a21 int dead r481 dry joint
  • Sanyo 25bn2 int sw off dry joint coll q611 in psu
  • Sanyo 25dn1 st/by only - light goes out when brought out of st/by r620/621 120k 2w in psu - beware of mains smoother being charged!
  • Sanyo 25mt1 cb5956 ec3-a25     goes to st/by aft few secs pin 31 ic701 1v instead of 5v - r372 390k o/c
  • Sanyo 25mt2 trips off aft few secs with st/by led flashing r497 180k in 200v monitoring cct o/c
  • Sanyo 25xp1     flashing standby led when asked by the remote to start     r624 120k o/c
  • Sanyo 25xp1 eb4-a25     tuning problems cracks in tuner earths
  • Sanyo 28dn1 tuning drift - esp at top end of range dry joints in tuner earths esp top rh section
  • Sanyo 28dn5 eb6 dead chopper tr 2sc4429 s/c - no other ff but suggest change opto & ref zeners d615/d645
  • Sanyo 28wp3 wb2a pic comes on briefly with no sound then reverts to st/by     reverting to prot mode - could be many things but check sound prot first. Isolate ic051 by lifting d682 pic appeared ok. Change ic051 & check audio sect psu - d1633, q1633 & r1639 were also damaged
  • Sanyo 32wn5b eb6a reverts to st/by after briefly coming on at sw on during which ht ok at 145v     pin 19 ic801 prot i/p low (should be hi); 9v supply from ic642 low due to its i/p low 7v - dry joint c640

  • Sanyo avm250 tv t.v has horizontal line only, sound is ok. Replaced ic la7831 which is vertical deflection chip. Also replaced vertical transistor. Check for poor solder connections in vertical output and pcc ckts. Check for correct potentials at the vertical output ic. Try another output. Check electrolytic capacitors in the vertical and supply ckts. You are looking for a resistor near the flyback 1watt between .5 to 10ohms that is burned or discolored. It feeds the 24 volts to the vertical chip la78. Off the flyback follow the leads to the vertical output ic and you will find what you are looking for. I do not have schematic otherwise i would tell you which resistor to replace. Also note your service switch has to be on normal mode to have the full screen.
  • Sanyo avm2503  unit has dark raster with narrow raster. Measured b+ from ic001 (4) and found it was only 97 volts. Ic001 (3) was only 97 volta bit the b+ at c006 (+) was 155 vdc.      Checking around main b+ regulator found that c007 was vented and r007 was open. Tech replaced c007=4.7mfd@160vdc & r007=5.6ohm@2watt. Corrected the symptom.
  • Sanyo sanyo 21mt2 starts up then shuts down quickly r495 180k
